At least 50% of the 1984 graduating class
stayed in Batanes, either to find some
pachihurnalan and enroll at the Saint Dominic
College or to “rest”  and wait for that mighty
one year to end (as promised by tata and
nana) and go to Manila to study in that much
longed “big city”.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Today is the day of departure. I got up early to
bring my thoughts and impressions to note
while they are still fresh. Thursday was the day
of the big reunion. What a thought - getting
together with a bunch of former classmates,
most of whom I had not seen since graduating
from high school. 23 years is a really long time.
My thoughts about the reunion are kind of
scattered and surreal, much like the
experience itself.
The Grand Alumni Homecoming happened
during the third week of April. Here's a recap
and a few pictures (finally)!

All Batanes National High School Alums
reunited in my hometown, Basco, Batanes,
starting that Monday.
